What Is the Result of Permissiveness?
Modern liberals have cried for just about all things permissive now for a number of years. It is time to take stock, and see what the result of allowing every man to do what he wants to really is:
1. During the past twenty to thirty years erotic and pornographic materials have become universal. (Plus, now it is on TV and the internet.)
2. Recently there have been a rash of charges of sexual abuse of little children. This is very much connected with the first point.
3. Birth control information has become available and easy to get. They said we would cut down on communicable venereal diseases and unwanted pregnancies. The studies I have read show just the reverse. We are in a pandemic situation in relation to sexually transmitted disease, and millions of unwanted pregnancies are taking place. Many among the unmarried, and at least more than a million are being murdered by abortion each year. They said, if we have sex education, it would reduce immorality. The studies show just the reverse. The problem is that God and morality must be in the plan, but we are told that cannot be a part of the plan in the public school system. No wonder so many programs fail!!!
4. The spirit of permissiveness has produced rampant homosexuality with the resulting fatal disease, AIDS, as well as well over 25 other sexually transmitted diseases.
5. Sexual permissiveness has caused a rise in disease and death, a rise in illegitimacy, a rise in the number of poverty rolls, reduced morals, betrayed children, and a host of other things.
Permissiveness really worked didn’t it?! Wonder what they will want to try on us next?
Paul’s advice was that “ye walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.” (Eph. 4:17).
