“One Nation under God”
How can we say we are “one nation under God” when:
1. When we allow our liberal federal judges to accommodate a single atheist who might be offended at the favorable mention of God’s name (unfavorable and blasphemous mentions, we are told, are protected by the same First Amendment that prohibits favorable mentions)?
2. When we allow a single atheist to have his way, but deny a single religious person the same accommodation? Where is the pluralism and diversity in this that the liberals regularly taut?
3. When we allow 55 million of our children to be killed by the abortionists? (This is how many we have per year in the world. In America alone there are 4,500 per day.)
4. When we allow television that glorifies the lurid and the wicked, that presents programs full of sexual situations, crude jokes and canned laughter at four-letter words?
5. When we allow pornography to run rampant in this country? (Of course, none of this causes our morals problems, children having sex on school buses and in the hallways of our schools, and surely none of it causes our parents to buy the most provocative clothing for their pre-teen daughters!?!)
6. When we allow child abuse at a record rate? (Is this reflective of God’s influence on us?)
7. When there are more people living together outside of marriage, and marriages themselves are breaking up at a record rate?
8. When we allow supermarkets to have magazine racks at the checkout lines which are consumed with stories about sex? (Is this reflective of a nation under God?)
9. When we have a country whose prisons are filled with lawbreakers? (I guess God is the cause of that too, but it seems to me this is not indicative of a people who are obeying the great Law Giver.)
10. When the number one passion is a mad craze for pleasure?
11. When we allow our nation to embrace open immorality?
